Job Vacancy: IT Support OfficerLocation: BasraHospital: Al Sebtain HospitalEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Summary:The IT Support Officer provides technical support to end-users and maintains IT systems to ensure smooth daily operations of hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting issues, assisting users, monitoring systems, and supporting IT projects throughout the hospital.Key Responsibilities:Deliver first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.Respond promptly to help desk requests and document solutions.Escalate complex problems to senior support or vendors.Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.Monitor network performance and ensure reliable connectivity.Perform system updates, backups, and security checks regularly.Support software installation, updates, and licensing compliance.Implement and monitor IT security policies including antivirus and firewalls.Maintain accurate records of IT assets and licenses.Document common issues and prepare reports on system performance and incidents.Assist with IT projects such as upgrades and rollouts, and suggest improvements.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.Experience in IT support or similar role.Good understanding of computer hardware, networks, and operating systems.Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.Interested candidates should submit their resume to ( Saja.mahdi@stepmedtec.com ) with the subject line " IT - Basra”
